DELIVERY/INSTALLATION POLICY

Factory delivery and the option of factory installation are real bonuses for Penn Customers. Penn's factory trucks deliver our walk-ins direct to the job-site, assuring scheduled delivery of the complete ready-for-installation unit. These units are carefully loaded and unloaded by Penn's own installation people; therefore they are not subject to the type of damage often caused by a common carrier. Factory delivery also eliminates the need for expensive crating and the disposal of such crating once the job is installed.
Penn customers can take advantage of our factory installation service or do their own installation. Upon delivery, the unit can be completely erected by Penn mechanics, eliminating the problems caused by unfamiliar installation crews. This option is often the most economical since technical competance and experience can save valuable time and money. Costs are determined by the size of the unit and the distance traveled. Quotations will be furnished upon request.
Penn Refrigeration Service Corporation is the only manufacturer of refrigerated walk-ins to offer nationwide delivery and installation by our own factory mechanics.

Single responsibility - from planning and manufacturing through delivery and on-site installation - insures the complete satisfaction of our customers.

Penn Walk-ins are delivered to installation sites on Penn trucks, by drivers employed by Penn Refrigeration Service Corp. All Penn drivers are trained, experienced erection mechanics who will supervise an erection crew furnished by others or a Penn erection crew will perform the complete installation, less electrical and refrigeration.

Drivers and mechanics employed by Penn Refrigeration are members of the Sheet Metal International Union, Local 44, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and Building Trades Council.

1. It is the responsibility of the buyer to make certain that the Penn Sheet Metal Union mechanics can work on the job-site without interference from any other crafts or unions.
2. It is the responsibility of the buyer to make certain that the job-site is prepared and ready before the Penn mechanics arrive. Due to union regulations, Penn mechanics can not prepare, alter, modify, nor improve job-site areas which are to accept Penn equipment.
3. Due to insurance restrictions, Penn mechanics can not handle compressors, coils display doors nor any other equipment not specifically furnished by Penn Refrigeration.
4. With regard to compressor placement, when such items are included in the Penn purchase, the Penn mechanics will set said compressor if location is reasonable. Crane and high-lift equipment are not a part of the Penn installation and such equipment will be the responsibility of the buyer.
5. When refrigeration components, such as compressors and coils are included with the Penn purchase, it is the responsibility of the buyer to make certain that the Penn Sheet Metal Union mechanics will be allowed to handle, set, or install said components without interference from other crafts or unions. Otherwise, it is the responsibility of the buyer to make a separate agreement or contract with the prevailing union.
6. Plumb and level floor areas are necessary for the proper and efficient erection of walk-ins. If shimming is necessary to level area for walk-in, Penn mechanics carry wood pieces for this purpose. If special shimming is required, such as sand, it is the responsibility of the buyer to make this item available.
7. On outdoor walk-ins with Penn weather cap included, if flashing to existing structures is involved, it will be the responsibility of the buyer to arrange for said flashing with another contractor.
8. Penn Refrigeration is not responsible for local code approvals, building permits, tariffs or taxes.

If this price quotation includes the use of these mechanics, it will be the responsibility of the buyer to make certain that these mechanics can work on the job-site without interference from any other crafts.

IF ITEMS QUOTED ARE TO BE SHIPPED BEYOND 90 DAYS FROM DATE OF QUOTATION, PRICING MUST BE RE-FIGURED BASED ON ACTUAL DELIVERY DATE REQUIRED.
